Wine Cork Key Chain

Yo!

Did you miss me???
It's been like two weeks since I've posted :(

So sorry ladies and gent...I'll be better promise!

So today I have a simple project for you...takes only a few minutes of your time.

We love projects like that don't we!

Alright, here it goes:

Here's what you need:
A Wine Cork
An Eye Pin
Key Chain Loop (brain fart, can't remember what they are called)
Super Glue or your fav glue that you think would work

I used the pre existing hole from opening up my bottle of Moscato..hmmmmm so yummy!
I added some glue carefully in the hole and on the screw part of the Eye Pin and inserted it into the cork.

I let it dry, for me it only took a few minutes.
Then I added the Key Chain part.

Are you still with me?
I know this is so hard huh? LOL :)

Add your key(s) and you're done!

SO EASY!
So easy that I could shout it from the roof tops!!!

I think it's super cute.
It's simple...but cute.

Plus I love the footprint on this cork, it's cute :)

Cheers
and
Happy Crafting!

Father's Day Survey Printable

Howdy!

So today I was thinking of all the fun things I could do for my hubby for Father's Day.
I jumped on Pinterest for a little while and noticed that a ton of peeps are making "Father's Day Surveys".
A list of sentences that your Little's fill out the blanks.

So I decided to make my own!

Here it is....

OMG, let me tell you this was so much fun for me to make and have my youngest son fill out. I was laughing so hard!

For instance...
My Dad is_______years old...
My son said "60!"

Yeah, my husband will love that lol!
 (He is 35yrs old)

but some of the answers were just super sweet too
For instance...
I love my Dad because____________
My son said "he's nice and always makes me feel better"
Awwww!

So I encourage you to do this with your Little's....you never know what will come out of their mouths...

For instance...
My Dad likes to wear....
My son said "Hats! and drink beer!"
Hmmm...hats and beer, good combo lol! My hubby rarely drinks so that caught me off guard LOL!

If you want to print mine out here is the LINK
Or
Go make one yourself, it's a ton of fun!

DIY Father's Day Plate

Good Afternoon Ladies!

Today I have for you a simple, inexpensive and FUN craft.

Let's get started shall we?

I made this plate to put cookies on for my husband for Father's Day.
I'm going to have my boys make one too.

Here is how I did this:

I bought a plain white plate at the Dollar Store
Drew my design with Sharpie Permanent Pens
Then baked the plate on a cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 25-30 min.

DONE!

I know...it's freak'n fantastic!  Not only was it fun, it looks cool and it cost me ONLY $1!!

Can I get a Whoop Whoop!

But hold up...think of this..

Hosting a baby shower or a bridal shower? Have everyone sign a big platter.

Having a house warming party? Buy a bunch of white plates and have all your friends and family color and design them.  Coffee mugs too!

High School Grad party....Retirement party...Kids birthday Party....

Use them as art work even!
Hang them on your wall, or display them on an easel.

I'm mean...really your options are beyond endless with this one!!!

Fun for all ages, so go get some plates and break out those Sharpies!

UPDATE: After doing further research, I would only use the Sharpie technique for decorative purposes.  Although Sharpies are Non-Toxic, it will rub off over time.  If you want to have something that will last I would recommend using Ceramic Pens, they are designed for this sort of project.

Have a great day

What I've been working on...

This week I have been super busy making my new items in my Etsy Shop

Egg Shell Mosaic Necklaces!
Yes, I made these with Recycled Egg Shells :)

I thought I'd share a few of them with you!

Pretty neat huh?!  The colors just pop! I love them...not just cause I made them, but I just love the colors.

Ok this one is really cool to me.  I made this for my friend.  She has chickens and gave me some of her eggs.  These are the egg shells from the eggs she gave me.  All natural colors.  I did not dye these.  Isn't that neat!

I also made this Crab...which I LOVE!
I think it's too big for a necklace so I'm going to put a magnet on the back and make it a fridge magnet.

There will be more to come!  I'm off for the next few days for a girls weekend at the beach...Yahoo!
This will be the first time I've ever done this since my youngest was born...he'll be 5 years old in a couple weeks.

Yeah, it's well deserved and much needed ;)

Have a great weekend!

Watercolors & Salt

Hey guys!

Today I am going to show you this really cool and fun painting technique.

Watercolors and Salt Painting.

This is a craft/art that is fun for all ages, young and old.
Those are my favorite types of crafts :)

And it's super easy!

So here it goes..

You will need Watercolor Paper
Watercolors
Paintbrush
Coarse Salt (Kosher)

First you want to paint on the paper...you want it wet but not huge puddles of watercolor.
Again, it really doesn't matter, but you get different effects either way.

Now sprinkle a little salt on it.  Less is more.

You can see where I got a little crazy with the salt...YIKES!
Leave the salt on the picture until the whole thing is completely dry.

Then brush off all the salt and see what you created!!

See the star burst at the top? That is what you are going for.  Isn't that cool!

So what do you do with your art now?

Well...you could....
Frame it
Give it to someone special
Cut shapes out of it
Journal on it
Stamp on it
Or make a card out of it.

I chose to make a greeting card out of mine.
I just love this.

You could have your kids make some for Father's Day cards!
I keep forgetting that is right around the corner :)

Hope enjoyed this tutorial :)

On a side note...I'm a sponsor in a group giveaway going on over at
 Bacon Time

Here's what I'm giving away..so go check it out..
all the cool people are :)
