Purse Garbage Can

Yup, you heard me right!

A Garbage Can for the old Purse.

Let's be honest...who wants wrappers and stuff hanging out for dear life at the bottom of our purses?
Not Me.
Do you hate looking for a scrap of paper to put your kids nasty wad of gum on?
Yes!

This morning we used the last of our generic Benadryl.
I just couldn't throw the bottle away...and then it came to me..
Garbage Can for the Purse.

So let's get started:

Here's the bottle..it was good size too, not too big but def not too small.

I used Rubbing Alcohol to take the label off.

Super Easy!

Then I added Duct Tape around the middle.

Now I have a spot for Old Gum, Wrappers, Sucker Sticks...whatever.
The lid seals it shut and it looks cute.

That is actually the Hot Pink Zebra Print...can't tell with the black and white.

Listen, you don't have to cover it up like I did.  If you don't care..
Just use the bottle as is.  It'll just look like you have a bottle of Benadryl (or whatever) in your purse.

Have a great day
and
Happy Crafting!

Weekly Cleaning Checklist

For a long time now I've wanted to make myself some sort of checklist for cleaning my house.

You know..One day for bathrooms, one for cleaning the floors or Dusting..
Those kinds of things.

So this morning I made one, and I'd like to share it with you!

If you want to print this, be my guest!
Here is the LINK

Here's what I did with mine:

I broke out my little baby...also known as my Laminator :)

I printed this sheet, laminated it, and now I can use a dry erase marker on it.
This way I'm saving paper, and I can write down what I want done for the week according to what the week has in store for me.

At first I wanted a sheet that had the same things to clean each week...
Example:
Monday...Clean boys bathroom, Laundry, and Vacuum
Tuesday...Laundry, Our Bathroom, Clean Floors
Etc...

But each week is different...we have different plans, things get canceled, appointments arise.
So I didn't want to do that to myself.
This way I can look at the week and then write down all I want to accomplish, and check them off as I go.
At the end of the week, erase the whole thing, and start over.

Easy!

Did you notice there is not a box for Sunday?
That's my rest day...no house cleaning that day!
Yeah right LOL...

Wishing you all a great day!

Cupcake Toppers DIY

Hello Hello Hello!

One of the things I sold at my Craft Fair last weekend was Cupcake Toppers.
If you look back at through the pictures you'll see them on my table.

They are so simple...SO simple and fun that I want to share them with you.

I did not do a step by step tutorial on these because they are pretty self explanatory.
If you have any questions about them though, please feel free to ask me, I'd love to help you!

All you need are:
Toothpicks
Duct Tape or Card Stock

Um..so I'm pretty sure you know what I chose to work with...
YUP Duct Tape :)

The first thing I did was cut the tip off the toothpick, so that the top wasn't sharp any more.
Then..
What I did was..
I took a 2.5 in X .5 inch strip of Duct Tape and fold it in half with the toothpick in the middle.
Sticky side to sticky side.

Last step was to trim if necessary.

Now I just used regular sized toothpicks but today I picked up some Sandwich Toothpicks and they appear to be a lot longer.
They don't need to be longer, the regular one's work just fine.

You can change the shape of your Cupcake Topper, such as make it a triangle for example.

You can use Card Stock as well.  I would use Double Sided Tape and put a strip down the middle of whole strip of paper, that way when you put the toothpick in the middle and fold..the tape will stick to the toothpick as well and the flag won't slide off.
Make sense?

There are so many options with this, it's quick, inexpensive and they would look adorable on Cupcakes.

However, they are not limited to just cupcakes...
put them on little sandwiches, fruit, any type of appetizer or party food to add a little decor and fun.

Have a great day everyone!

Craft Show!!!

WHAT UP!

Hello ladies...Yes I'm still here!
I had a Craft Show this past weekend and I'm still exhausted from all the work that went into it lol!

Although I love selling my homemade craftiness, it's so exhausting...
If you've ever done it, then you know what I mean.
I signed up for this one with only 3 weeks to prepare...not a lot of time!

I don't know what I was thinking, but it turned out just fine.
This go around I decided to only sell some Duct Tape Items.
My booth was a hit, thank goodness..but I'm not going to lie, I was a little worried when the first few hours had very little customers, but then it picked up.

Here's what I had for sale:
DT Lanyards
DT Key Wristlet Key Chains
DT Hair Bows
DT Earrings..Yes Earrings!
DT Cupcake Toppers
DT Wallets
DT Art
DT Bracelets

Here are some pics from my tiny little booth :)

My Price Sheet...hard to see what it says....

They were a huge hit!

Lanyards, Earrings, and Bows....love my bows!

Sealed with a kiss! More wallets!

My new stands for my wallet display...
I love that little Alien Wallet I made, it's so cute.

Dun Dun Dun..Dun DunnDunn Dun Dunn Dunn...
Darth Vader and Master Yoda

More wallets...
That Pink Paisley wallet is my fav...the pockets are lined with Gold DT..
I need to make another one

The Booth..

Still the booth...

And...the last pic of the booth

So there you go...

I sold almost all my wallets, and was so pleased to see how excited people got over them.
I had a lot of new ones out that I've never sold before so that was fun to see people's reaction over them.

However the best part of the show was all the kids that came up to my booth to tell me that they too make Duct Tape Stuff.
Honestly...it was amazing!  I strongly encourage kids to make stuff, and some even had their own little side business selling wallets and bracelets to kids at school.
I had fun talking with them about it, and encouraged them to keep up the good work.

After all..

DUCT TAPE ROCKS!!!

On another some what related note..
I have to show you these earrings I made...

Not the best picture but I wanted you to see up close...
These are tiny wooden spools that I covered in the Pink/Gold/Teal Paisley Duct Tape..then I added Teal Glass Pearl Beads to them.
I LOVE these earrings..I wish you could see them in person, because they are so stink'n cute!
They didn't sell, and I'm actually glad, I don't think I asked enough for them, and I love them so much I may just keep them.
Aren't they adorbs??!!

Wishing you all a wonderful day!

DIY Pudding Pops

So it's Popsicle season...
We go thru a ton of them...
It's out of control....
It's like crack for kids..
Yes I just said crack...

SO...

I decided that I would make my own.
I'm sick of buying them..and I have all the stuff at home to make them :)

So I did.

Here's what you need...
Ready for this..

Instant Pudding, Popsicle Molds, and Milk

I know I know..this is just to difficult...NOT

So...Easy..I could just kick myself for not doing it sooner!

My youngest loves the Chocolate Fudge Pops, so I went with Chocolate

Enlist in a helper...Here's mine, isn't he adorable?!
See him eye ball'n that pudding...oh yeah, he was ready to pounce!

Mix according to package directions..
Pudding mix + 2 Cups of Milk

I mixed with a whisk and didn't wait for it to fully set.
I figured it would be easier to fill up the molds if it wasn't fully set.

Next I plopped them in the freezer and played the waiting game.

All that hard work paid off!  I huge bowl of left over pudding..
Oh yeah baby!

4 hours later....after lunch we were ready to give them a shot!

GOING...

GOING...

GONE!

Seriously guys, this was the easiest thing ever!

And it was perfect making them in the morning because they were ready to eat after lunch!

I want to try a White Chocolate Pudding or Cheesecake Pudding next..
Doesn't that sound yummers?!!

Have a great weekend!

More Duct Tape Art

Howdy!

I'm in a craft fair this Saturday, so I've been a busy little bee making lot's of stuff to sell.
This time around I'm only selling Duct Tape items at my booth.

I'm going to sell some of my Duct Tape Art too..
Well..I should say I'm going to attempt to sell some of my art LOL!

I wanted to share with you my two latest pieces :)

Lucille Ball

Elvis Presley

Those are the two that I made this week.

I also have this one..

And a Marilyn Monroe and Bob Marley as well.

I hope these guys sell...if they don't then my plan is to either Auction them off...
Or
Get a bunch together and hit up a local art gallery or business that sells art on their walls.

Wish me luck!!!

Mother's Day Remembrance Pots

Good Afternoon Ladies and Gent!

I hope all you Mother's out there enjoyed your special day yesterday :)
It was a fabulous Mother's Day!

So if you follow my blog regularly you may know that I lost my Aunt to cancer a month ago today.
It has been devastating to say the least, and it's been one month ago today that she passed and I still can't believe it.

For Mother's Day yesterday, we had our two cousins over to my parents house so they could celebrate Mother's Day with us.  As you can imagine, yesterday was very hard for them, considering they just lost their 59yr old mother a month ago.

My cousins and I are very close, and near and dear to my heart.
I wanted to do a little something for them in remembrance of their Mother, my Aunt.

So here's what I did:

I bought two packages of "Forget Me Not's"

I also bought two pot's that say "Love my Garden" and planted the "Forget Me Not's"

I bought two Frame Charms, and put a picture of my Aunt in there.

To hang the Framed Charm I took a large Paperclip and unbent it.
When is was straight, I then used my Needle Nose Pliers and made a loop at the end.
The Paper Clip was super easy to work with, was soft enough to bend yet strong enough to hold it's shape when I was done.

My Aunt loved..LOVED...to garden.
I remember helping her in the garden when I was a kid, so I thought this was a neat and thoughtful gift on my part.
Obviously the charms can't stay outside or they would get ruined in the rain, but they can't put them indoors in a house plant or keep them outside in a covered area.
