Duct Tape Belt

Duct Tape Belt

I made this Duct Tape Belt for my youngest son Jackson.  I love the way it turned out and it was a very quick project.

Here's how I did it:

First I cut a strip of Duct Tape to 25 inches long.
I folded (hot dog style) one side of the duct tape towards the middle all the way down.
Then folded the other side to overlap opposite side just a tad so that I end up with 25 inches of Duct Tape that has no sticky, resembling the pic above.

Grabbed two D-Rings

Put them on one end of my Duct Tape Strip, with the flat sides of the D-Ring on the underside of the belt.
Then I folded up the end to cover the D-Rings and taped it with Duct Tape.

And we're done! It's that simple.

Here's what it looks like :)  Isn't that adorable?  I love it!

Let's give a big round of applause to my handsome young model Jackson...who was less than enthused to help me with this picture :)  But he did it anyway for his Mommy..I have good boys.

If you haven't joined my blog via Google Friend Connect feel free to do so today, I'd love to have you as a follower and I would love to follow you back :)

Have a great day :)

  2. I love it. My dad thinks you can fix anything with duct tape. After seeing some of the things you have used it for, maybe my dad was onto something lol
As for your q earlier on my earring cost, not sure. I am not sure what I will sell them for. I am leaning towards having a big sale at the fair since I am overstocked. I might just make everything $5 which is a bit crazy because, I will lose out on many items but I am really wanting to move some of my older inventory out. I live in what seems like a very frugal town too, so I am the wrong person to ask. I know my prices on my Etsy seem low in comparison to other Etsy shops in my opinion, then I will do a craft fair and mark them even lower, to please my crowd, and sales will still be slow.
Well I think I am going to call it a day, we all have strep, and started the z-pack today. Hope to feel better, I feel like I got hit by a beer truck. Need sleep and a maid to do my boys stinky laundry, and as long as I am dreaming a massage, margarita, pedi, mani, nani, and a partridge in a pear tree.

  3. Oh man that's so not good that you're all down for the count :( It's hard enough having sick kids but even worse when Mom is sick too!
I sell mine for $5 too...but I'm told I should sell them for more. I always keep my prices low, because I tend to sell a lot more, and I hate ripping people off. Finding Craft Bazaars is so hard, but I did just find a few today, and I'm hoping that some that I've done the last few years will email me as well. I love selling my goodies at these events :) Well I hope you feel better soon, and I'm thinking your Dad is pretty awesome..Duct Tape Rocks!!
