Homemade Sidewalk Chalk!

Since it's such a glorious morning filled with sunshine...My first post shall be about Homemade Sidewalk Chalk!  This weekend is supposed to be very warm, and I expect kids will be outside all day soaking up some rays :)  Making sidewalk chalk is very simple and fun to do, so let's get started!

                                                              Supplies you will need:
                                                                   Plaster of Paris
                                                                    Food Coloring
                                                                         Water
                                                               Silicon Cupcake Pan
                                      Disposable Bowl/Spoon (for mixing)

Mix 2 parts Plaster with 1 part Water...Depending on the brand of plaster you get you may need to work fast before it sets.  Next add your food coloring and pour into molds.  DO NOT pour left over plaster into your sink..it will set up & harden in your pipes and cause lots of damage.

Once the chalk is dry, remove from mold and let your child's  artistic juices flow :)

This would make a cute gift for kids to give to friends, classmates, or you could wrap them up in plastic bags with ribbon and give them to your guests at birthday parties..your options are endless.  This is a great craft that kids of all ages can help with.  Enjoy and Happy Crafting!

Had to give a little shout out to my loving hubby..Love You Bobby!!!
